You might experience some sensitivity to cold and hot foods and beverages for a few days, but that's normal and it will go away on its own. 

Will I Need to Repeat It? 

Enamel doesn't grow back, which makes enameloplasty a permanent procedure. As such, you won't have to repeat the treatment after a certain period, as one procedure is usually enough to help you achieve the desired results. 

Is It Covered by Insurance? 

If you opt for enameloplasty simply for aesthetic reasons, then no, insurance won't cover it as it's considered cosmetic treatment. But, if you need enameloplasty to correct a chip or crack after an accident, then you may be able to get some partial coverage.
